Kamay Botany Bay National Park

Kamay Botany Bay National Park is in Sydney and covers both north and south headlands of Botany Bay.

The southern section at Kurnell covers the historic area where Captain Cook first landed in Australia and then south along the cliffs to the northern headland of Bate Bay,Cronulla.

Spectacular cliffs and great for whale watching.

Looking over the heathland and across the bay to the Sydney skyline.

Lovely weathered sandstone.

Hanging swamps between the cliffs and the dunes.

On the northern headland at La Perouse

Just inside the heads on the northen side is Congewai and Little Congewai Beach at La Perouse.

Looking out through the heads from Congewai Beach

Looking back int Botany Bay and Bare Island.

Sunrise

The lower northern cliffs.

Old World War 2 gun emplacements on the headland.
